HVAC Guide™ guided probe tester software for Windows Vista®

This is the operating software required on your PC to upload test information, customer data, etc. using the Microsoft® Windows Vista® OS.

Instructions:

1. Click the link “Software for Vista DOWNLOAD NOW”

2. Select “Save to Disk”.

3. Select a folder in which you want to save the file and click “OK”. (Mozilla Firefox users – the file will automatically be downloaded to your desktop.)

4. Double click the file labelled “HVAC_Guide_Software_V2.05_VISTA.exe”. Click “Install”.  This will only extract the files, not install the software.

5. Open the folder labelled “HVAC_Guide_Software_V2.05_VISTA". Click on “setup.exe” This will launch the installation program. 

6. Follow the onscreen instructions to install the HVAC Guide™ software.

HVAC Guide™ guided probe tester software for XP

Instructions:

1. Click the link “Software for XP DOWNLOAD NOW”

2. Select “Save to Disk”.

HVAC Guide Firmware for Windows Vista

This is a firmware update for the software inside the HVAC Guide™ guided probe tester. From time to time we update calculations based on the latest technology (like new refrigerants, P-T charts, etc.) in HVAC/R. Firmware updates the instrument itself.

Instructions:

1. HVAC Guide® Software must be downloaded before the update will work.

2. Click the link “Firmware Update for Vista - DOWNLOAD NOW”

3. Plug in the IR end (three pronged connector) of the USB cable into the HVAC Guide® tester.  Plug the USB end into your PC.

4. With your HVAC Guide® tester in the off position press and hold the INPUT and OUTPUT buttons and turn the dial to “MEM”.  "Update" will be displayed on the HVAC Guide® screen.

5. Double click the file labelled “HG2updata_V2.24_Table_112_VISTA.exe”.

6. Click “Install”.  This will only extract the files, not install the software. Open the folder labelled “HG2updata_V2.24_Table_112_VISTA”.

7. Click on “HGX_Firmware_Update.exe”.  This will launch the update program. Click “Com Auto”.  A green box will show “Online” when it is ready to update.

8. Click “Update”.  The status bars will fill up and status will say “Complete” when the update is finished.
